In preparing for the upcoming Sokol Omaha Polka Hall of Fame scheduled for Sept. 11 from 3-7 p.m. at the Admiral, formerly the Sokol Auditorium at 13th and Martha, members of Sokol Omaha were able to get a brief tour of the newly remodeled facilities earlier this week.
Although Sokol Omaha no longer owns the building, our ancestors would be pleased at the way this project has turned out! Initially built in 1926 and opened in 1927, this nearly 100-year-old structure is sparkling and new again! With an elevator and handicapped accessible restrooms, everyone can now enjoy the experience. It was certainly a great decision to sell the building to 1% Productions! They seem to appreciate and honor our Sokol history!
